Recipe for the Seafood Rice Ingredients
1 can of Claw Crab Meat
1 tbsp Salt
1 tbsp Paprika
1 tbsp Garlic Powder
1 tbsp of Pepper
1 tbsp of Onion Powder
1 tbsp of Old Bay
1 tbsp of Cajun Seasoning
1 tbsp of Chicken Bouillon
1 tbsp of Mild Garlic Seasoning from you local seafood market
1 Cup White Cooking Wine
Beef Broth
2 1/2 cups of Parboiled Rice
3 sticks Celery
1/2 Onion
1 Green Pepper
1 Red Pepper
Bay Leaves
In a pan melt 2 tbsps of butter and 1 tbsp of olive oil on medium heat. Let it heat until it starts to turn brown and then add in your diced celery, onion, green and red pepper. Sauté your veggies for about 5mins and then add all of your seasonings. Continue to stir constantly to keep the seasoning from clumping together if your pan starts to look a little dry feel free to add a little more butter. Now that your seasonings and veggies are all mixed up add your rice and stir to make sure everything is evenly coated and then add your white wine. Allow your mixture to simmer for about 5 mins, once everything cooks down add 1 cup of beef broth and 5 cups of water. Place 2 bay leaves and your drained can of crab meat on top, cover and allow to simmer for 20mins. Add a little shrimp to turn it into Seafood Rice like i did (optional) and pair with whatever you’d like. ENJOY!
